Privacy Policy

What you submit

When you use a tool, you may paste job descriptions, type interview answers, or upload a resume file. That content is sent to our server so we can run the analysis and return your report.

AI processing

Your resume, job posting, and answers are sent to Ollama Cloud for processing. Your resume file is saved locally in this browser so you can reuse it across tools. Optional feedback you leave will be stored to improve PrepPilot.

We do not require sign-in. We do not sell your resume or job postings. Processing happens to generate the result you asked for in that session.

Local browser storage

PrepPilot may save your resume file and related form fields in this browser so you can reuse them across tools without re-uploading. That data stays on your device unless you clear site data or use a different browser.

Optional feedback

If you leave product feedback, we store the message and basic context (such as which page you were on) to improve PrepPilot. Feedback is optional and not required to use any tool.

Analytics and cookies

In production, PrepPilot may use privacy-focused analytics to understand which tools are used, measure performance, and fix usability issues. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not send your resume, job postings, or interview answers to analytics providers.

Analytics is optional and off by default. On your first visit, a cookie banner asks whether to enable analytics. Nothing loads until you choose Accept. If you choose Decline, you can still use every PrepPilot tool without analytics.

When analytics is enabled, we may use:

• Google Analytics - page views, navigation, and feature usage events (such as which tool you ran or whether a report completed). See Google's privacy policy.
• Vercel Analytics - aggregated traffic and Web Vitals performance data. See Vercel's privacy policy.
• Microsoft Clarity - optional session recordings and interaction patterns to spot broken flows. See Microsoft's privacy statement.

These services may set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser. Separately, PrepPilot stores some preferences locally (such as your theme, saved resume, and your analytics choice) so the site works the way you expect. Local preferences do not depend on accepting analytics.

To change your analytics choice later, clear site data for PrepPilot in your browser settings and reload the page. The cookie banner will appear again so you can choose Accept or Decline.
